Kendra H. Armstrong, Attorney at Law

Kendra Hazlett Armstrong is an experienced and passionate writer, speaker, and civil litigation attorney dedicated to inspiring and helping others. Kendra’s lively writing and speaking is filled with a wealth of real-world knowledge and insight, and she has a knack for teaching her audience straightforward, powerful techniques for tackling life’s complications.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Kendra earned her master’s degree in psychology, with clinical training in counseling. She has an extensive academic background in behavioral and developmental psychology, and she completed an intensive, specialized study of the psychology of human intuition and judgment. In other words, Kendra loves to figure out what makes people tick!

Kendra’s worked as an attorney for over 20 years, almost exclusively in the area of family law. Using her vast knowledge and experience in both the legal arena and the field of psychology, she’s currently writing The ULTIMATE Heart and Soul Makeover for the “Uncoupled,” to help the “uncoupled” (the divorced) fix what the legal system can’t fix for them.

Kendra has co-authored two traditionally-published booksExploring the Faith of America’s Presidents and Common Sense and an Uncommon God. A lover of entertaining and mind-bending fiction, Kendra’s penning her first novel, a legal/psychological thriller about an attorney who inherits a Mississippi plantation and is relentlessly haunted by her family’s dark and deadly secret.

In her “spare” time, Kendra’s great escape is reading, and she cherishes spending time with her family (including her much-loved dogs and cats) and her friends. Her grown son, Brian, is a talented professional musician, artist, and writer.

Kendra was born in Denver, Colorado and was raised and educated in Memphis, Tennessee. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Rhodes College, her Master of Science from the University of Memphis, and her Juris Doctor from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis.

Kendra lives in the Memphis area and is a member of Hope Presbyterian Church, where she has served as a Deacon, Bible study and small group leader, Sunday School teacher, and member of the Women’s Ministry Writing and Speaking Team.
